这场比赛的要求

This 70 km trail run demands sustained pacing and leg durability over 2185 meters of climbing across Yorkshire limestone trails.

Climbing volume

Accumulating 2185 meters of elevation over a 70 km distance requires significant climbing economy and leg strength to maintain forward motion on ascents.

Durability

Navigating technical limestone trails for an extended ultra-distance duration places high repetitive loading on the lower limbs and core stability.

September pacing

The autumn date in the North Yorkshire uplands requires disciplined energy output and proactive thermoregulation over many hours on course.

A sustained effort of this duration requires consistent intake of 60 to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour to maintain glycogen stores and support output.
