For coaches on Intervals.icu

IntervalCoach for coaches who use Intervals.icu

Keep Intervals.icu as the calendar, workout builder and analysis tool your athletes already use. IntervalCoach adds the layer it doesn't have: a plan per athlete that adapts every day to their recovery, and a squad view that tells you who needs you this morning.

What stays the same

IntervalCoach runs on top of Intervals.icu. Nobody moves platform, and nothing you have built there is thrown away.

  • Your athletes' data stays in Intervals.icu

Each athlete signs in with their own Intervals.icu account. Activities, wellness and history stay where they are, and IntervalCoach reads from there.

  • The calendar stays the calendar

Planned workouts are written to each athlete's Intervals.icu calendar as structured sessions. Zwift, Garmin, Wahoo and Polar keep syncing from there exactly as they do today.

  • Your own sessions stay where you put them

Sessions already on an athlete's calendar are never double-booked: IntervalCoach plans the open days around them. A setting per athlete lets it adapt those sessions to the day's readiness as well.

  • You can keep working in Intervals.icu

The workout builder, the fitness chart, the power and pace curves: use them as much as you like. IntervalCoach is an extra window onto the same athletes.

What IntervalCoach adds for you

Intervals.icu shows you everything each athlete did. It doesn't decide what they should do tomorrow, and it doesn't tell you which of them needs you first. That is the layer a seat adds.

  • Plans that adapt daily to each athlete's recovery

Every athlete gets a plan built from their goal, fitness and availability. Sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from their wearable feed a daily readiness check, and the session changes when the data calls for it: a bad night, a missed workout, a cold.

  • A daily list of who needs attention, and why

The roster sorts itself by who needs you: deep fatigue, adherence slipping, data gone stale, a change waiting for approval. Each row carries its reason. Mark an athlete handled and they stay off the list until the reason itself changes.

  • Since you last looked

New athletes, attention raised and cleared, adherence dropped or recovered, a race added. Open the roster and read what changed instead of going through every athlete again.

  • One approvals inbox

If you want to approve adaptations first, every pending change across the squad lands in one list: what was planned, what is proposed and why, with the athlete's readiness beside it.

  • Squad timeline and squad analytics

Eight weeks of the whole squad on one grid, with builds, recovery weeks and races. Beside it, twelve weeks of load done against load asked, compliance per athlete and squad fitness with its spread.

  • A Monday digest in your inbox

Every Monday morning: who needs attention first, last week against plan, and the races in the next fortnight.

  • Standing instructions the plan follows

Write an instruction in plain language, like no intervals on Mondays or a cap on long rides, and the planner applies it from the next planning run. The athlete sees it with your name on it.

  • Work inside any athlete's account

Switch into an athlete to edit the weekly plan, swap workouts, move the goal race, and use Coach+ on their behalf in the thread you share. The athlete chooses full access or view-only, and sees every edit attributed to you.

  • Signals in your own language

Warnings and reasons on the roster appear in the language you use, whatever language each athlete has set. IntervalCoach runs in 25 languages.

What it costs

Intervals.icu itself is free, and coaching groups need its Supporter plan at $4 a month. That stays as it is. IntervalCoach is an addition on top of it and replaces nothing you pay for today.

The Coach Plan is sold by the seat. Plans start at 3 seats, the price per athlete drops as your roster grows, and yearly billing gives you 2 months free.

Each seat includes that athlete's full Max plan, worth €8 a month on its own. Your athletes pay nothing extra and never enter a card.

What it doesn't do

Worth knowing before you start.

  • It doesn't bill your athletes

You pay for the seats. What you charge your athletes, and how, stays between you and them.

  • There is no coach-to-athlete messaging

The Coach+ thread is shared, so each of you sees what the other asked, but it is not a chat between the two of you. Intervals.icu's own chat and comments keep working as before.

  • The minimum is 3 seats

Below that the Coach Plan isn't sold. From 40 athletes we price individually, with invoicing and several staff accounts.

Questions from Intervals.icu coaches

Do my athletes need to change anything?

No. They keep their Intervals.icu account, their devices and their syncs. They sign in to IntervalCoach once with that same account to accept your invite, and from then on their planned workouts appear in their Intervals.icu calendar.

Does it work alongside an Intervals.icu coaching group?

Yes. IntervalCoach connects to each athlete's own Intervals.icu account, so your athletes keep their accounts and nothing about your group changes. The sessions it plans are written to the athlete's own calendar.

Who pays for what?

You pay for the seats; each seat includes the athlete's full Max plan, so your athletes pay nothing to IntervalCoach. Intervals.icu's own pricing is separate and unchanged.

I build my own workouts in Intervals.icu. What happens to them?

They stay. IntervalCoach never books a session on top of one that is already there, and plans the open days around yours. Switch on adapting all calendar workouts for an athlete and it adjusts your sessions to their readiness as well. Races are never modified.

What happens if I stop?

Cancel the plan and coach access pauses, but nothing is deleted: your roster and every athlete's history stay as they were and come back when you start again. Release a seat and that athlete keeps their account and data, and can carry on with a subscription of their own. Their Intervals.icu account was always theirs and stays untouched.
